21st Century China Center Travel Grant

The 21st Century China Center (21CCC) Travel Grant provides competitive funding to support travel to present or share research at conferences, workshops, and meetings by UC San Diego scholars and students. The grant is open to those in the social sciences, arts, and humanities whose work relates to the study of contemporary China and/or U.S.-China relations.

The grants, capped at $1,500 each, can be used to cover travel-related costs such as airfare, ground transportation lodging and meals. Preference is given to applicants who have first sought funding from their home departments, schools, or divisions, and are using 21CCC funding as a last resort or as supplementary support.

The budget cycle runs from October to the following September. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis until all funds are exhausted for the current budget year. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as they are accepted for presentation.
