Victor Wang

Victor Wang is the founding and managing partner of AimTop Ventures, based in Silicon Valley, which focuses on investing in early-stage tech startups. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Science and Technology in China, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University. During his Ph.D. studies, he conducted research on neural networks, and he is the author of a recent best-selling book in China on AI, “The Dark Knowledge.” Wang has over 30 years of high-tech and entrepreneurial experience in both Silicon Valley and China. He holds 12 U.S. patents in mobile internet and wearable computing. He worked at various U.S. tech companies on semiconductors, fiber optics and mobile data networks. In 1994, he co-founded GWcom Inc. in Silicon Valley. He also developed the world’s first hand-held mobile internet devices network and deployed the world’s first mobile stock-trading networks.
