Scott Rozelle is a professor at Stanford University and a senior fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for international studies. He is also the founder and director of the Rural Education Action Program (REAP). Over the past two decades, he has focused his research on the economics of education, health and early childhood development. His team is still active in the field in rural China and in 2025 has five large scale, randomized control trials in progress.
