Nate Tibbits

Nate Tibbits is senior vice president for global government affairs at Qualcomm, where he leads regulatory, policy, export and sanctions compliance, corporate responsibility, and sustainability agendas, managing a global team with staff in Africa, Asia, Europe, India and the Americas. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Tibbits ran Blackwood Advisory, a boutique strategy firm, and was the chair for the U.S. Public Affairs practice at Burson-Marsteller. At the White House, Tibbits served as executive secretary of the National Security Council and as special assistant to the president for presidential personnel. Earlier in his career, he was the founding chief operating officer at the Center for a New American Security and vice president for international education at Discovery Communications. He helped found The Albright Group and directed operations for the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs.
