Naima Green-Riley

Naima Green-Riley

Dr. Naima Green-Riley is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics and at the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. She is also a Nonresident Fellow with the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab. Naima specializes in Chinese foreign policy with a focus on public diplomacy and the global information space.

Naima was previously a Foreign Service Officer at the State Department. She was a 2023 Wilson China Fellow, a 2021 Public Intellectual Program Fellow with the National Committee on US-China Relations (PIP VII), and a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Naima’s research has been published in Security Studies, the Journal of Experimental Political Science, and in the 2022 book The China Questions II. Her writing has appeared in Foreign Affairs, The Monkey Cage blog at the Washington Post, and The Root. She completed her Ph.D. in Harvard’s Department of Government, her MPP at Harvard Kennedy School, and her B.A. at Stanford.
