Morgan Muir serves as the U.S. deputy director for national intelligence for mission integration. In his career, he has served in a variety of senior executive intelligence and policy roles, including as the assistant director of the CIA for Near East affairs. Muir’s previous roles at the CIA have included deputy director of analysis; deputy director for analytic programs; deputy director for strategic programs; deputy director of the CIA’s Counterterrorism Center (CTC) and head of its analytic arm, the Office of Terrorism Analysis; deputy director of the Office of Russian and European Analysis; and four years as the daily intelligence briefer for President George W. Bush.
