Meghan Harris

Meghan Harris joined Beacon Global Strategies as senior vice president after her most recent work in the semiconductor industry: she served as director of policy for worldwide aerospace and defense at GlobalFoundries and director for global technology and security policy at the Semiconductor Industry Association.

Prior to transitioning to industry in 2021, Harris served in the Bureau of Industry and Security at the Department of Commerce, where she served as senior national security policy advisor to the undersecretary. Before that, she served in the White House on the National Security Council Staff as the director of strategic trade and nonproliferation from 2018 to 2020, focusing on export controls and technology security policy. She entered federal civilian service in 2016 with the Defense Technology Security Administration in the Department of Defense, serving as its senior policy advisor for China. Before her civilian government service, she served as a signals intelligence officer in the United States Marine Corps.
