Leah Bray

Leah Bray is chief of staff to the deputy secretary of state. She has previously supported a wide range of diplomatic, economic and security issues throughout the U.S. government, including as acting coordinator of the State Department’s Global Engagement Center; director for China at the U.S. National Security Council; and a military attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. She holds a master’s degree in national security affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. She is a career member of the Senior Executive Service.
