Joe Dillon is a global corporate strategy and government policy executive with over 30 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. He is currently senior vice president of external affairs for the Starr Companies, serving as a senior advisor to the chairman. Previously, he was the principal of his own consulting practice, advising a range of global clients in the financial, insurance, infrastructure, energy and aerospace industries.
Prior to building his own business, Dillon served as senior advisor to the U.S. Department of Treasury’s undersecretary for domestic finance during the administration of President George W. Bush; afterwards, he joined Visa to start up its global policy operation. For over a decade previously, he worked for American International Group, where he advised on U.S. and global government affairs, corporate strategy and positioning in developing markets.
Dillon received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a graduate degree in international affairs from Columbia University. He lives in Yonkers, New York, with his wife and three sons.
