Jing Qian is vice president of Asia Society and managing director of the Center for China Analysis, which he co-founded with Kevin Rudd. Under his leadership, the Center for China Analysis has grown over the past three years into a global network of more than 70 fellows, and it has convened multiple high-level Track 1.5 dialogues between the United States and China, contributing to efforts to stabilize the bilateral relationship. Qian serves on the advisory board of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, is a co-founder of the Bloomberg New Economy International Cancer Coalition and sits on the AstraZeneca global health equity advisory board. He is also a senior fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. His research focuses on China’s elite politics and their implications for domestic governance and foreign policy, with particular emphasis on U.S.-China relations.
