Jeanette Kwek

Jeanette Kwek is the Head of the Centre for Strategic Futures (CSF). The CSF focuses on thinking systematically about emerging issues and trends that shape Singapore’s future. Jeanette joined the civil service in 2005, starting her career at the Ministry of Defence, where she worked on Singapore’s defense relations with international partners. In 2009, she became one of the founding members of the Centre for Strategic Futures. Since then, she has worked in roles connecting foresight with geostrategic issues. In her current role, she oversees the Centre’s research agenda, its extensive international networking efforts, and work in growing foresight capabilities across the Singapore Public Service. Jeanette is a political scientist and economist by training, having graduated from the University of Chicago in 2005. She is married with two children. In whatever spare time the children leave her with, she nurses a dangerous addiction to caffeine and the written word.
