Dianne Klein

Dianne Klein is investment director and senior advisor to the chief investment officer at the University of California’s Office of the Chief Investment Officer of the Regents (UC Investments), having joined the team as chief of staff in December 2018. Previously, Klein was press secretary to University of California President Janet Napolitano and associate vice president of strategic communications and media relations at the University of California’s Office of the President. Prior to joining the university in 2011, Klein had a long career as a journalist, with staff positions of foreign correspondent, columnist, news and feature reporter at United Press International, the Houston Chronicle and the Los Angeles Times, where she shared in two Pulitzer Prizes. She has a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies from UC Santa Cruz and a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University.
