David E. Sanger is the White House and national security correspondent for The New York Times and the bestselling author, most recently, of “New Cold Wars: China’s Rise, Russia’s Invasion and America’s Struggle to Save the West.” Prior to that he wrote “The Perfect Weapon” and two other best-sellers, “Confront and Conceal” and “The Inheritance.” He has been a member of three teams that won the Pulitzer Prize. A contributor to CNN, Sanger also teaches national security policy at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
