Kuiyi Shen

Director, Chinese Studies Program; Professor of Art History, UC San Diego

Kuiyi Shen is a leading scholar of modern and contemporary Chinese art and Sino-Japanese cultural exchange of the early 20th century. His recent book, “The Art of Modern China” co-authored with Julia Andrews, won the 2103 ICAS Book Prize in Humanities. He is also the managing editor of Brill’s book series Modern Asian Art and Visual Culture.
