U.S.-China University Think Tank Dialogue on Bilateral Relations

The 21st Century China Center at UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy is pleased to co-host with Fudan University’s Center for American Studies (CAS) a multiyear U.S.-China University Think Tank Dialogue on Bilateral Relations from 2016-18. CAS is a part of research network in China called the Collaborative Innovation Center for a New Model of Sino-U.S. Major-Country Relationship.

The dialogue brings together university-based and other policy experts from the U.S. and China to engage in deep discussions about bilateral relations, with the aim of enhancing mutual understanding and helping to improve ties between the two countries in the 21st century.

The theme of the inaugural meeting in June 2016 is on the domestic influences on U.S.-China relations, covering such topics as the public opinion, economic interests, as well as policy process and legislative politics. Future dialogue themes will include U.S.-China interactions in the Asia Pacific region and global governance and U.S.-China relations.
